Overview:
True Window & Glass Centre (TWG) was commissioned by Johnson & Smith (Lincoln) to design, supply, and install a replacement curtain walling system at a local primary school.
Following appointment, TWG undertook a comprehensive site survey to assess the existing installation and project requirements. Based on this, a COMAR aluminium curtain walling system was specified, incorporating concealed ventilation units to maintain clean sightlines and enhance the overall aesthetic of the facade.
A key project constraint was the requirement to complete all works within the school holiday period, minimising disruption to staff and pupils. To meet this strict programme, careful planning and coordination were implemented to ensure all deadlines were achieved.
The system was further enhanced through the integration of a specialist window control solution, including a manual winding mechanism. This allows controlled natural ventilation throughout the space, improving the internal environment while remaining user-friendly for school staff.
The project was successfully delivered on time, providing the school with a modern, efficient, and visually streamlined curtain walling system that meets both functional and aesthetic requirements.
