True Window & Glass Centre was successful in its submission to replace the existing aluminium windows at Grimme UK’s head office in Boston. The project formed part of the client’s wider commitment to upgrading the building, with a focus on improving performance, durability, and internal working conditions.
Following a detailed review of the client’s requirements, aluminium was selected in preference to UPVC due to its superior longevity, structural strength, and low maintenance.
A key requirement of the project was the integration of internal blinds within the glazing system. This specification was driven by the significant levels of direct sunlight affecting the building throughout the day, which was impacting glare control and internal comfort. The inclusion of integrated blinds from Morley Glass provided an effective and discreet solution, allowing occupants to manage daylight levels easily while maintaining a streamlined appearance without the need for external shading systems.
The final installation delivered a high-performance façade solution that significantly enhances both the functionality and comfort of the office environment. By combining durable aluminium window systems with integrated solar control measures, the project ensures improved energy efficiency, reduced solar gain, and a more comfortable working environment for staff.
