Broken glass, misty windows, and damaged frames don't always mean expensive replacement. Professional repairs can restore functionality at a fraction of the cost. We manufacture replacement sealed units at our Lincoln facility for fast turnaround, repair mechanisms and hardware, and provide emergency glazing services for commercial premises.

When something goes wrong with your windows, it’s tempting to assume you need complete replacements; especially when the glass is cracked, the units are misty, or the locks have failed. But in many cases, a professional repair costs a fraction of the replacement cost and gets your windows working perfectly again.
The challenge is knowing what’s actually repairable and what genuinely needs replacing.
At True Window & Glass Centre, we’re completely honest about this. If we can fix it, we will. If replacement genuinely makes more sense (perhaps the frames are rotted, or the window is so old that parts are unavailable), we’ll tell you that too. We’ll visit your property, assess the damage, explain your options clearly, and provide upfront pricing for repairs. No hidden costs, no unnecessary work, just straightforward advice from glaziers who’ve seen – and fixed – just about everything.
When disaster strikes, you need a repair company that actually answers the phone and shows up when they say they will. That’s the reputation True Window & Glass Centre has built over four decades.
We’ve repaired thousands of windows across Lincoln, Newark, Gainsborough, and throughout the region – from emergency boarding up after burglaries to fixing stiff locks that won’t close properly. Our glaziers carry common parts and glass sizes on their vans, which means many repairs are completed during the first visit. And because we’ve been serving Lincolnshire since 1983, we understand older window systems that other companies can’t (or won’t) repair, often saving older properties from unnecessary replacement costs.
Repair costs vary depending on the issue. Replacing a single broken pane can be done quite cheaply, whilst replacing a failed double-glazed unit typically costs more, depending on size. We provide clear quotes before starting work, and there’s no callout charge Monday-Friday 7:30-16:30. Give us a call and we’ll try to give you a rough outline of what to expect.
Absolutely. We repair all types of windows regardless of who originally installed them – UPVC, aluminium, timber, steel, single glazing, double glazing, and triple glazing. If it’s a window, we can almost certainly repair it.
For genuine emergencies (break-ins, storm damage, security issues), we aim to attend within 1-4 hours, 24/7. For urgent but non-emergency repairs, we typically attend the same day or next working day. Routine repairs are usually scheduled within a week.
If you contact us Monday-Friday between 7:30am and 4:30pm, we don’t charge a callout fee. You only pay for the repair work itself. Outside these hours, emergency callouts incur a callout fee in addition to repair costs, which we’ll confirm when you call.
Yes. Misty or cloudy double glazing means the seal has failed, allowing moisture between the panes. We replace the entire sealed unit (the glass) whilst keeping your existing frames, hinges, and handles. This restores clarity and insulation performance at a fraction of the cost of replacing the entire window.
Usually yes. Common causes include dropped sashes (fixed by adjusting packers), worn hinges (replaced), faulty locks (replaced or adjusted), or issues with handles and mechanisms. Our glaziers diagnose the problem and repair it during the visit in most cases.
Yes, this is one of our most important services. After a break-in or vandalism, we’ll secure your property immediately with professional boarding, then return to fit replacement glass as soon as possible. This keeps your property secure and weather-tight whilst permanent repairs are arranged.
Proper repairs don’t affect insurance. In fact, maintaining windows in good working order with functioning locks is often an insurance requirement. After break-ins, we can provide documentation of repairs for insurance claims if needed.
